LTC Scott Halverson was officially selected as an Army Battalion Commander today.
He will be commanding an Attack Helicopter training Battalion at Ft. Rucker, Alabama.
It has been exciting as his wife to share in this adventure of the Army together. We are going back to where he started out in the Army as a young 2LT. Its so fun to see his hard work over the past 19 years come full circle to return and command in a unit where he was once a student.
I love you Scott and I couldn't be more proud.
Alabama here we come!!!

Congratulations Scott or should i say Sir! So do you have a moving date? I can't believe you are going back to Alabama! We are proud of your whole family and really admire you all.
I don't like this one bit. Why can't the Army leave people for 8 or 10 years? (This is from a BRAT that never got to stay more than 1 year from the age of 11 on.) Good Luck!
Congrats! That's great news! And I was thinking of road tripping to RI this summer cuz I'll be in Philly doing an elective, so when are you leaving for Alabama?
Well, your a little bit closer. Shanda & I were talking & thought that we should visit Rhode Island instead of the next spring scrap...looks like we will have to go down south instead!!! Congrats!!
Hooray for Scott!!
Scott, we´re so proud of you!!! Congratulation! Sorry, that you have to leave the perfect boat and fishing place... We´re so glad that we visited you last year! Christian said: well, than I´ll visit them next year and I told Karyn "Alabama one year earlier means we can come visit you again one year earlier!" The time with you was perfect - we miss you guys!
